Litter Information

At Maribelle, we breed occasionally and very selectively after careful consideration of the conformation, genetics, and pedigrees of prospective parents. Our focus is on producing dogs of quality, not quantity and we generally produce a litter only when looking to hold back something for ourselves.

Our dogs are conformation Champions and undergo a series of health screenings prior to breeding, evaluated by the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals or previously by the Ontario Veterinary College evaluation program before its discontinuation. Our goal is to produce sound, healthy dogs with beauty, brains, fantastic temperaments and breed type.  In addition to performing the recommended health clearances, we stand behind the health of our puppies and offer a 2-year health guarantee against genetic defects.

We do maintain a waiting list and depending on the timing of our next litter you may have to wait for a Maribelle puppy.   Reservations are recommended; however not a guarantee.  We aspire to place the right dog in the right home,  and do not operate on a first-come, first-served system. We want you to be happy with your dog and set you up for a successful relationship! While your preferences are absolutely given consideration,  we cannot guarantee that a particular sex or colour will be the right fit for your home.  Puppies are evaluated between 6 and 8 weeks of age and at that time we will determine which puppies are staying at Maribelle and which puppies are available to our prospective homes.

Please visit our upcoming litters page for information on planned breedings, and our puppy application to apply or contact us for more information.
