As long time owners and lovers of Boxers, we thought we would never love another breed – until we met a Bullmastiff. We immediately fell head over heels in love with this amazing breed. The Bullmastiff gave us everything we loved about our boxers, but at a slower pace. After much research and consideration we began the search for our first Bullmastiff in 2008, in hopes of finding the right female with which we could start our breeding program. Our first Bullmastiff, Jasmine, joined our family in 2009. From the moment we got her, we were hooked on this incredible breed and there was no turning back. We are proud and fortunate to have this lovely girl in our home and as the foundation of our line.
After a decade and a half in Nova Scotia, we have recently relocated to our home province of Newfoundland and are located just minutes outside the provincial capital of St. John’s where we reside with our young twin daughters and our dogs. Some of our future puppies will still be raised in the Maritimes, in partnership with our good friends and co-owners!
Breeding is a hobby about which we are very passionate. Professionally Lori is a Senior Project Manager with a technology company, and Mark recently medically retired from his career as a Marine Engineer with the Royal Canadian Navy, and is a stay-at-home Dad. With an educational background in Biology, Lori is passionate about the genetic and genealogical side of breeding.
Our dogs are family members first, and all live in our home with us, or occasionally co-owned and reside with close friends where they are also loved and spoiled. Our dogs are active not only in conformation but in performance as well. We aspire to produce dogs of quality not quantity, with sound temperament and type. To us, this means producing occasional litters on a not-for-profit premise, after careful planning and health clearances so that we may share our love for these incredible dogs with others.
We are active supporters of Bullmastiff Rescue of Canada, not only financially but through fostering and fundraising to help Bullmastiffs in need. We are both members in good standing of the Canadian Kennel Club, and have previously held executive positions with the Bullmastiff Fanciers of Canada. Lori is also the Zone 1A director for the CKC Junior Kennel Club Council, supporting the up-and-coming talented young junior handlers in the province of Newfoundland & Labrador.
